Dr. Mohsen Hussein

He is specialized in treatment of injuries and diseases of knee joint. He gained the most up-to-date knowledge in arthroscopic operative techniques in the Sports Injury Clinic in Copenhagen, and by dr. Fu in the Sports Medicine Center and in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery of the University of Pittsburg, USA. From the latter one he also was acquainted with the most contemporary double-bundle technique in reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament, which he successfully initiated for the first time in Slovenia in 2005. From April 2012 he is an assistant in the Department of Surgery of the Faculty of Medicine in Maribor, where he obtained his Doctoral degree in the end of 2012.

He regularly attends professional meetings in Slovenia and abroad, and actively participates in European and American congresses in the field of orthopedics and sports medicine. He is an active ESSKA (European Society of knee surgery and sports injury) member, and a member of the Arthroscopy committee. He is also a member of ISAKOS (International society of arthroscopy, knee surgery and orthopaedic sports medicine), where he is from April 2009 also a member of the Education Committee, and Regional Coordinator. Dr. Hussein is a reviewer of four leading magazines in orthopedic field: Arthroscopy, AJSM, KSSTA, and JBJS. He published a few articles about different techniques of the reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament, two of these in the American Journal of Sports Medicine. In 2013 he received the prestige Hughstone prize for the best published article in the magazine AJSM of the 2012. He is also co-author of two books about the reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament, which were published by ESSKA.


Dr. Martin Mikek

His nearer field of specialization is in shoulder joints and elbow injuries, and treatment of diseases and prevention of sports injuries. He improved his knowledge in the field of arthroscopic minimally invasive surgical techniques in many recognized centers in the USA and in Europe - in the respectful Southern California Orthopedic Institute in Los Angeles, Harvard Shoulder Service in Boston and in university hospital Archer II in Nice. He brought in Slovenia more new minimally invasive arthroscopic surgical methods of treatment. He regularly publishes professional articles in domestic and foreign literature and he participates as a lecturer and instructor in expert symposiums and workshops. He is a reviewer of the most prestige professional magazines in the field of orthopedic medicine, i.e. British Journal of Bone and Joint surgery and Slovenian Endoscopic magazine and Medical journal. Moreover, he is also the author of many popular publications about treatment and prevention of sports injuries. In his free time, he is also active in sports, particularly in cycling, golf and skiing.


Dr. Klemen Grabljevec

As a physical and rehabilitation medicine specialist he mainly works with conservative sport's injuries and disease healing with ultrasound diagnostic. Known as an experienced therapist he implements treatments with Excellence Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) and leads laboratory for isokinetic dynamometers. In cooperation with physiotherapist and sports trainer he sets therapeutic programs and controls early and late rehabilitation of our patients. Dr. Grabljevec is well-known expert in the fields of physiotherapy and is extremely professionally active in Slovenia and abroad. He is a co-organizer of many expert gatherings and he is a chairman of Slovenian Association of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine.
